Rand bloody Al'Thor showed up in the Nexus. I tried to beat him with my oar, but it didn't work.

Would sooo like to beat some sense into him.

It was staring at him. He could feel its cold gaze even with his eyes closed. Opening them up, Alec found he was alone in the bed. Verra had gotten up before him, she always did now. So he was alone with it. It regard him with its cold gray eyes, white wings folded neatly behind it, not having changed a minute bit since the last time Alec saw it. Perfect and statuesque, neither male nor female.

"What are you doing here?" Alec asked groggily, scrubbing sleep from his eyes. Nogard, for that was who it, was smiled.

Hello little one, it said in Alec's head. It has been a while, has it not?

"Years."

You've grown.

"I certainly hope so. I was a pretty scrawny kid when you last saw me."

Nogard laughed, it sounded like bells.

"What do you want?"

You are being summoned.

"I've been summoned before, never by you. Why by you?"

Nogard shrugged. You have been summoned he repeated.

Groaning, Alec kicked the sheets off of him and stumbled out of bed. There was nothing like getting summoned to the Fey court to ruin a perfectly good morning. He dragged clothes on and then he had to find his armor. That at least hadn't gotten blown up when the house did. Nogard watched him dress, but Alec didn't mind. Nogard had no interest in him. It had about as much interest in him that the bed did. It couldn't. Books didn't have much sex drive.

Years of practice made putting on the armor an easy thing for him, even with his shoulder still out of joint and his hand bandaged from where he had cut it. The final bit was his sword. Dressed, but not bothering to brush his hair (it never did any good) he stood before Nogard with a "well" expression on his face.

I'm flying little one. You'll have to get there yourself. And with that, Nogard vanished.

"Dammitall!" Alec snarled, before stalking down the stairs.
