I had to rescue Kai last night from the unwanted attentions of a teenage girl. The poor girl was positvely smitten with him (of which I can understand but he's Mine and I'm not sharing.) The girl was the older sister of Neesha who is a friend of Braxious.
Neesha and her sister apparently share a room. And Neesha also apparently got into the sister's diary. She copied out something and gave it to Brax, who passed it onto me to give to Kairin.
Dear Diary,
Today the most wonderful thing happened! I actually met Kairin! And he's more handsome in person that he is at a distance. I can't believe it. I must put it down so that I'll have the memory forever. I had to go and pick up Nee at her little friend's place. It was at this Inn that the boy's parent's run. The Innkeeper's wife was kind enough to point me in the direction of my sister who was sitting at a booth with her friend and a red headed man. At first I didn't think much about it as I approached after all there are many red heads out there. But then as I got closer I realized that it was HIM! The Kairin. The one that I've seen wandering all about the academy's campus. And I actually talked to him! He's so intelligent and handsome, and very nice. We were having a lovely discussion before the Inn Keeper called out for him. I don't know why, perhaps he's doing some odd jobs for him. The Inn Keeper sounded really annoyed, I hope he doesn't get into trouble. It'd be so terrible if that were to happen to Kairin.
I wish we had longer to talk. I'm sure if we were to talk longer he would have seen that we were perfect for each other. Pelony says that she saw him kissing some guy which I don't believe. He was so attracted to me and so reluctant to leave when he got called away.
They're going to be so jealous when they find out I talked to him.
Yes, well, all I have to say to that is: MINE. Mine, mine, mine, mine. Not yours mine. More on that later.
Laruna wasn't too pleased with me today at all. She came stomping by and smacked me upside the head for setting her up, as she called it with Zen. How was I supposed to know that she'd be attracted to his watery-ness.
Okay... that's a lie. I kinda figured that there'd be some sort of harmonizing there, being rather attuned to the elements like we are. It was still funny. Even when she dumped the ale on me. It was the dwarven stuff and I've taken three showers already and still smell like it. Meh.
I tried writing a sonnet but it didn't quite work out. It's rather hard to describe Kairos for me. Finding the right words beyond "mine" and "I love him" And that thrill that flutters through me when he calls me "fireheart" it just feels right. Perhaps, since he knows that, I don't need to say anything. Or anything more than Mine and I love you.
