Again, hiding from the hot sun, Alec sat at one of the tables in the galley mess, flicking a coin between his fingers. The coin spun and flickered, sometimes not even there for a moment before returning. The one sailor had tried again, but the threat of Brand frightened him off. Of course, it seemed to have frighted everyone off. Leaving him with few choices for conversation.

Addie, his "betrothed" was one, but she was difficult to talk to. And Madam... well, she always seemed to have something else up her sleeves. He had no plans to go near the captain. As for Brand... well. He didn't know what to do about Brand.

"No, it's not very fun,"he shook his head.

"Especially when there's all these people around and no one wants to be there."

"Yes I understand,"he looked down at the table.

"I'm sure we could do something about it. Two lonely people." Smiles a bit.

He nodded a little looking up at him,"We could."

Feeling like he's been carrying this entire conversation, he tries to shift it over to Brand, "If you have any suggestions, I'm open to hearing them."

"I have a few it depends on what you might be up for."

"I won't know, unless you tell me."

"Perhaps it should be a private conversation."

"Galley isn't really that private, is it?" He stands up with a stretch. "Your place or mine?"

"We can go to my quarters,"he stood with a little smile.

"Very well!" And with slight steps, letting Brand take the lead, Alec follows him to his quarters.

He led the way to his room.

Suddenly feeling awkward, he gives Brand another small smile, as he waits to be let in.

He gave him a little smile opening the door and gesturing for him to go inside.

With sudden thoughtless care, Alec stepped inside before tossing himself onto the floor and looking up at him. "So? Your suggestions?"

He walked over and sat down on the bed.
