1. My username is Alec_Troven because that's my name. Not really imaginative.
2. My journal is titled Chaotic Ramblings because I tend to ramble and I'm supposed to be chaos.
3. My subtitle is Alec's Journal because... I'm not very imaginative, I guess.
4. My friends page is called "Fellow Loonies" because if they friended me, they must be nuts.
5. My default userpic is my family crest because I think it's rather spiffy looking and a bit more serious than some of the others I have. Though I do tend to change defaults a lot.

mm... speaking of Eiko, she gave me some CDs that could help with the dyslexia stuff. Well I guess it's not really stuff, but yeah. I really want to smack octopus around calling me a moron. See, cretin, twit those sorts of things I'll take. But I'll not be having my intelligence insulted because my world is about two thousand years behind his, technology wise. I'm quite certain that if I had grown up in his 'time' I'd be perfectly savy with all the lingo. I've been wanting to tell him that, but I don't think it'd do any good.

I WOULD like to dump him off in my world somewhere. Like in the middle of the Lancoon plains where the long necks roam. See how well he survives.

I'm letting Otto have a little more slack lately than I normally would. He's trying hard not to show how scared he is. If we fail, he's going to die, and it's not going to be a nice death.

But yes, sometimes he gets really out of line. He just doesn't seem to want to understand the differences in backgrounds. Dunno what to do. Sedating him seems a little, well, over the top.

I forgot to tell you: only do one or two packs of cards a day, so you don't get sick of it. And you need to work at least a couple of weeks before deciding it's not working; nothing works immediately.

I've gotten the whole letting him be part cause he's dying. It's not fair? Nice? Right? to taunt a dead man walking. (At least dead man walking until you cure him.)

A lot of people don't seem to get the background differences. I think it's because it makes it easier to cope with in such a diverse place as the nexus. And for the most part the humans around here are from Earth. I'm not, but I dress like I am so it gives the illusion that I am, making it more difficult to get beyond that appearence.

I still want to drop him off in the middle of the plains. When he's better. Other wise it wouldn't be fair.

I'd probably die in the middle of the plains, so hey.

And yeah, it's not fair, but once he's cured and back to full strength, I won't have a problem.

And if the phoenix blood helps, I can tell him when you're there and watch his face drop.

I like him, but sometimes I have the urge to sledgehammer his noggin.

They aren't too bad. Plenty of water and hunting. Rabbits, flitter birds (kinda like quail). You have to watch out for the cats though - they look like the sabertooth cats from Earth- and the occasional long neck stampede (They're kinda like a cross between a girrafe and an elephant, but bigger. )

I'll just have to wait until you cure him then. And I would like to see his face if the blood helps. It should. At least according to grandma.

Personally, I find him utterly fascinating. I like watching him and occasionally poking him to see what he does. Not the nicest thing to do but... amusing.

He gives me that "I could have been that" vibe, sometimes. If something had gone differently...

...someone from my old universe once had a breakdown, seeing me after my accident. He claimed that his future - he was a time traveller - couldn't exist now, because I went insane, became evil, and caused a massive war. But I was still a man...

So I look at him and hope that maybe, being nice to him might save him.

I wanted to make the world a better place. I still do, but instead it's one person at a time. Helping you read, being nice to him, things like that, to try to make the world better. Dunno if I'm doing it right, but all I can do is try.
