Fun in Fan Fiction.

Sneaking Tiwa into PPC headquarters is rather easy. She actually blends right in with all the other crazed agents. The hallways don't seem to make very much sense. They're all the same uniform gray and there isn't any order to the doors and their labels. The agents look like they came from anywhere; Trill and Mindflayers walk side by side with cat people, hobbits, elves and anything else that can be thrown from any sort of media. And then there were the characters! Oh the characters from everywhere!

There was Legolas and Rincewind and Richard Rhal and even a Jane Austen coming in after being attacked by zombies! There was House and Obi-One Kenobi and Faith and the Doctor. All being led by trained looking professionals and all having a slightly dazed look on their faces.

Most people weren't paying attention to where they were going or downing massive amounts of pills and drinks, bitching about things from fan fic and flowers.

Speaking of Flowers, a log moved by, slightly singed. The people in the hall called out greetings to it. It was named Otik apparently.

There's only one button inside the elevator, which he pushes.

"I am going to make you watch Lord of the Rings with everyone replaced by Richard Simmons when we're done here," he threatens.

"I could make you an exploding cake."

Tiwa hugs his arm with a grin and a little wince.

The doors open to a hallway that looks exactly like the one they left. In fact there's absolutely no indication that they even went anywhere. "Lovely. I'll leave it in the cafeteria for others to eat."

He starts out down the hallway without appearing to know where he's going. "One of the problems with this paces is that it's got subjective locations and you can only get where you're going by not paying attention to where you are going."

Sadly Tiwa is really not sympathetic at all as she tilts her head and grins,

"I have to take you to The Dreaming sometime."

They pass room "pie" as in the numerical symbol and then they come to 3b. 3a and 3c are no where to be found. He's immediately accosted by a brown fire-lizard.

She gives a nod to the lizard and then gets quiet, she'll even be good and listen.

"Tiwa, this is Trey my fire-lizard."

Trey peers at Tiwa and gives a hopeful chirrup for scritches.

Alec pushes the door open and gives a sigh of relief. "Good, she's not here."

"Hello Trey, do you keep Alec out of trouble? Who's not here?"

Trey smugly chirrups.

"My partner," Alec says. "She doesn't like me. We drive each other crazy." He opens the door to let Tiwa in.

"That sounds fun."

She peers around the door with a smile.

"It's standard procedure."

The office looks rather like people live in it with tons of accumulated junk and weapons and things.

He picks up a backpack and starts tossing things into it. "So, what house in Harry Potter do you think you belong to?"

"Oh, no clue. Just trying to remember what James said."

Alec tosses a robe and a tie. "Here you can be Gryffindor. That's James' house."

"I know, lion and little bird after all."

She grins and pulls off her jacket, quickly showing the cold iron wounds on her arm before the robe hides it.

Being who he is, Alec knows all about what happened to her, but since she hasn't broached the subject yet, he's not going to say a thing and politely ignore it.

Instead he opens a box filled with wands. "Take your pick."

Since she doesn't know he does know about it, Tiwa's planning on mentioning it at some point possibly. She thrusts her hand into the box and pulls out a light willow one,

"This'll do."

"Give it a wave and see if it does anything for you," Alec says as he shrugs on his own robe with Hufflepuff colors.

Yes, he got Hufflepuff.

He also tucks a few knives on his person and then snags a sheathed sword. It's a magic sword, but not like those tacky-Sue shiny swords. An actual magic sword.

Tiwa nods and waves the wand, it doesn't do too much as she watches Alec arm himself.

He frowns and then gestures to the box of wands again. "Try and find one that works for you."

Alec also pulls out a book and hands it to her. "Simple spells that you should know in case we get caught." He then grins. "You can use them later to show off to James."

"Oh you mean, I'll be able to do his sort of magic even though I've got my own?"

This is oddly confusing and she picks up another wand and this one sends off some pretty green sparks.

"You need to blend in and there's no wandless magic in his 'verse. Your magic will still work," he adds because he has a feeling that will be a worry for her, "But like I said, we need to blend."

Speaking of blending, how is one pointy eared, blue-tattooed on the face guy going to blend in?

"I know it works since it worked better than before, but I see what you mean, can't do my normal stuff."

Alec picks up a device and shows it to her. It's red and about the size of a hard cover book with an LCD screen. "This is the CAD or Cannon Accuracy Device. Basically what it does is measure how in character someone is. When it hits about seventy five percent out of character it starts to shriek."

He gives a fiddle. "It's kinda hard to turn off."

"So it gets annoying when something's really badly written?"

"Yup!" He picks up two more devices. "Portal opener and disguise generator. This is how you can get mind-flayers to go and deal with House without complete and utter freak-outs."

The disguise generator is tapped and turned on and Alec looks like a normal human. Scary.
