Inside was hell.
Inside was limiting and closing in and claustrophobic.
He had to sit still when he was inside. And pay attention. No moving or fidgeting or making noise. He couldn't get up and pace. Or squirm or wiggle. He had to sit and listen.
He hated paying attention. There were always so many more interesting things to look at or think about than what the teacher was talking about. But he wasn't allowed to do it. It didn't seem fair. No one else seemed to be bothered as much.
Except maybe Jono. Alec cast a glance over at the other boy. Jono smiled at him and he forced a smile back. He didn't like Jono, but Jono liked him. He didn't know why Jono liked him. Just that he did and he spent a good time hanging around him and making sure that no one else did. Being the biggest boy in the class made it easy for Jono to bully the others away.
Alec was on the smaller side. He was weedy and thin and short. (Half starved one woman had said. And right in front of his mother too. That woman got a tongue lashing. How dare she insinuate that his mother didn't feed him.) But he was fast. He was faster the Jono which let him run away sometimes.
That was another reason why he hated the indoors, he couldn't run away from Jono.

alec_troven, Marc-C, the Fellowship of the Ring, A Sue.
Rating Mild Sueness.
Author's note It takes FORTY DAYS to walk from Rivendell to where they stopped in the movie. FORTY DAYS. It SAYS SO RIGHT IN THE MOVIE. >_>
The scene changed and the two agents felt like the were on some bad acid trip, without the benefit of the acid or the pretty colors. Gathering themselves up again the looked around to see that they were at the scene in the Lord of the Rings movie where Boromir taught the hobbits how to fight and then were attacked by Creblian.
The words said, A few days out of Rivendale the Fellowship stopped to rest,.
"Few days? That explains the blurring scenery," Marc-C said as Alec looked green. Nothing like covering a forty day walking in two days.
"Argh, I hate that. What's miss I'm-the-last-of-the-fairy-elves-that-live-in-the-reaches-beyond-Mirkwood-with-special-powers-with- a-name-that-looks-like-a-cat-walked-across-the-keyboard doing?"
Marc-C looked at the party and sighed,"She's talking to Boromir which is making Legloas jealous."
"Wasn't she a Lego-Sue?" Alec asked.
"Yeeeesss... but apparently she's trying to save Boromir as well."
"Oh dear gods... she just turned Pippin and Merry into puppies..." The text had said, Fierce as puppies Merry and Pippin tackled Boromir."
"Alec, what are you doing?"
He stopped moving, hand on a rock and a very shifty eyed look, "Nothing..."
"So you weren't going to take that rock and bean the Sue with it?"
"No! Of course not." He stood up and walked back to her, "So, how we going to get rid of her?"
"We could feed her to the wargs," she commented, watching as the puppies ran around.
"Oooh... I like that."

The blue dragon raised up on his hind feet and stretched his wings out, catching the sun. He was the color of a warm summer's day sky, nearly blending in with the sky behind him. Ferlendraggiath lifted her head a little and cocked it, eying the blue speculatively.
"Flirting?" Alec asked as he came to sit next to her, riding straps in hand.
Perhaps she murmured.
"I don't see why you bother. You only let Brenth catch you," he said, starting to check over the straps.
She chuckled, That doesn't mean I can't look. You look too, so why can't I?
He flushed a little, because she had projected the image of a visiting brownrider in his mind. A brownrider that he had flirted with last night.
"All right, fair's fair. I suppose a little flirting never hurt."
The green stretched her wings out before saying, Perhaps it would be nice to try someone new.
"What? No. I like T'zair. Perfectly happy with him and don't want to try someone else."
She rumbled, laughing. Have no fear, no one but Brenth could catch me, she said smugly.
