element_wizard | (no subject)

So I've been thinking. Yes. Hah. I can think, I just choose not to alot of times. And I made a choice.

I got rid of my chaos powers. Gave them to Dale.

I've been thinking about it for a long time.

See there were several things that led to this choice. One was that I was tired of them. I want to be able to wake up in the same body that I went to sleep in. I don't want to out live my family and friends. I'm already special enough, without them. I mean, I'm the first element wizard born in a thousand years and I'm the Champion of the Fey Court... how much more special can I get?

And then there was Sari.

She was getting her line to her powers from me. I figure if I don't have them any more, she won't. And she'll be safer, won't teleport away all the time and stuff. And she'll have a more normal childhood.

So, that's why I did it.

Though I feel kinda lost now. And a little blind and deaf. I always Knew where I was and where everything else was... in relationship to the multiverse. And now I don't.

I'll just have to get used to it.

On the plus side, my reading has improved somewhat.

Got rid of my chaos abilities.

"Well. That's... unexpected."

So I've been hearing.

"Well, good luck."

... Why is everyone wishing me good luck on this?

"Because. You're getting used to a new way of life. It's gonna take work."

Oh. That. Yeah... I've already managed to get myself completely lost trying to find my way to where the house used to be from the Inn. It all looks so different.

"I'm sure." He smiles wryly.

Not used to seeing things with just my eyes.

He nods. "I don't know how I'd manage with my Bardic powers gone..."

It was an entirely different sense for me. A seventh one that colored how I interacted with everything. I could if I wanted to, know exactly what had happened to you. I knew who you had interacted with and everything. It was all an open book. I saw the code of the universe. And now I just see the universe.

"Wow." Eric blinks. "That would be hard to cope with."

It's happened to me once or twice before. So it's not so bad... I mean it is bad, but I just... I know what to expect.

He nods slowly.

It's a whole different world now. My coridnation is off...But I'll compensate. I'll adapt. I always do. *he grins* Just no more mad dashes into danger for me.

"Probably for the best. I'm trying to cut those out, too."

Ahh... but they're fun!

"Yeah, but I have a dependant now."

I have two. It didn't stop me. *grins* Of course being death impaired helped.

"Right. And I'm not."

Neither am I, any more.

"Remember that." Eric smiles.

I'm gonna try. No more free trips from the after life for me.

"Good."
