So, do you want one? Maybe for your brother?

He snorts. "Magnus would kill me."

You mean he doesn't want a pet fire lizard? Who wouldn't? They're the Ultimate pet!

"He likes life to be 'normal'."

What's more normal than a pet?

He shakes his head. "Animals that don't exist are not 'normal'."

... if it didn't exist how can there be an egg?

"Shh. It's not supposed to exist, so Magnus would hate it."

Why shouldn't it exist? *he's really confused now.*

He sighs. "If it's from another world, or even Underhill, he doesn't want to believe in it."

... but that's like not believing in chairs...

"Exactly."

And I thought he prided himself on his logic.

Anyway, maybe an egg would be a good thing. It would force him to acept the reality of it. It's kinda hard to ignore something that's empathically bonded to you.

Eric chuckles. "Hey, he has enough at the moment adjusting to the Nexus. And... I think he actually is loosening up. I don't want to push it."

If you think so... The Nexus is a bit of a crash course. Maybe he and that Thomas kid should get together and not believe.

He cocks his head. "Don't think I've met him."

"I've only talked to him a couple of times. Older me talked to him too. He apparently believes the Nexus is a dream that he has."

"Hmm. I can see where that would be a more feasible explaination to some..."

Yeah. But... rather narrow minded. Kid believes that the world has limits too.

"Some of them do."

The only limits are what you put on the world.

He shrugs.
