Feeling kinda off.

Been speaking in fan-speak too, which is weird.

Dunno... might be coming down with something.

Yeah. I just had a cold that made me think I was a teenaged fan girl for a while.

"Ouch."

I painted my fingernails a lovely shade of purple and it doesn't come off. Apparently I was going around in pig tails for a while too.

"I'm glad I missed that." Eric grins.

You probably would have been infected. It was highly contagious.

He shudders. "God, no."

You probably could have realted to your brother better.

"And give him another reason to call me a dork? I don't think so. Though," he grows thoughtful, "I think his chosen words would have been a lot stronger."

"I think you'd be 'dork' no matter what you do."

"Of course. I'm a Rennie."

"Yeah, but you also know how to use a sword! That's really cool. Not many people in your world know how to do that."

"He doesn't see it that way."

"But it's a sword! And it's neat and shiny and sharp and pointy!"

He laughs. "Yes, well. Kids these days, eh?"

They're too wrapped up in their video games and what not to appreaciate real stuff.

Eric shrugs. "Well, Magnus has had a hard life."
