Someone from Sages. Quiet mad scientist sort. He took over his world, if I recall correctly.

Yes, I have. It was a completely spur of the moment whim sort of think. And I shan't say anything more on him besides that.

As for why I didn't ask you, my pretty little demon, because I didn't think of it and I didn't think you would go for it.

Your pretty little demon? Ha... I'll let that one slide since I like you.

Yes, my pretty little demon*It may be noted that Alec didn't sound quite like Alec when he said that. More older, ancient really. But Alec doesn't notice, of course.*

I don't know... it's a sorta commitment thingie.

I didn't think that dating implied any sort of commitment. But then, I'm not so clear on those things in general. Commitments, I mean.

I dunno. Well dating generally indicates a liking of the other person and a desire to do more with them. Which is a sort of commitment.

Well, I like you. What does 'do more with them' entail, anyway? I ask mostly out of curiosity, since it seems like I get a different answer every time I ask anyone. Demons just have an odd view on things, and my brother and I aren't even your average demons...

The one calling me 'your' pretty little demon. *peers at his head thoughtfully* Anybody else in there?

Usually? Sex. But we seemed to have gotten that one out of the way. Seeing if that person would be a good mate. Someone to spend the rest of your life with... that's not family. That sort of stuff.

*He wiggles a finger in an ear* I don't know any more, truth be told. What'd it sound like?

Eh. We don't have any family that would claim us anymore. It's just been my brother and me... We've never really gotten attached to anyone, since usually the people we meet are... well, mortal and stuff. In any case, I'm sure that I'll never love anyone more than Sariel.

It sounded... kinda like grandma. o_O But maybe that's because of the "pretty little demon" thing, because that's what she used to call me and Sariel. Talk about a nutcase... but then, that's our relatives for you.

That voice... I think... was my immortal part, as it were. I think. Though I'm not too sure about the grandmother part.

Well, I compare it to that only because of the complete lack of effort to sound like anything but something ancient and powerful. Me, I'll never admit to my true age by sounding like that, even when I do get to be an old fogey. *grins*

What else should it sound like... maybe it was your grand mother?
