Alexander Raven Troven sat in the doctor’s office at the PPC nervously waiting the results of the tests he had just taken. He had been feeling off and strange for the past couple of days as well as rather sick and Verra had finally made him got to the doctors. He had protested mightly because he didn’t get sick. Verra had said the evidence proved otherwise. The doctor had hemmed and hawed and poked and pricked and drawn blood as well as other things. And now he was sitting and waiting.
Finally the doctor came back out. He had a queer expression on his face and was holding some test results.
“I have good news and bad news.” The doctor said. Alec looked at him politely. “The good news is that you’re perfectly healthy.”
“And the bad news?”
“You’re pregnant.”
Alec fainted.
When Alec was roused, he stared at the doctor with a pleading expression. “You’re joking, right?” he begged.
“I’m afraid not.”
He spluttered out, “B-but that’s impossible! I’m human! I’m a guy! I can’t get pregnant!” The doctor flipped through several pages of his test results.
“According to these you are. And no one really knows what it is that you powers are capable of. It’s entirely possible that they caused this,” he said far to calmly for Alec’s liking. Alec muttered something in his home tongue that wasn’t quite translatable but was rather rude. The doctor only raised an eyebrow. “Do you know who the father is?”
“No.” And Alec crossed his arms as if daring the doctor to question him further on the subject.
Not rising to the bait the doctor said, “Well I suggest you figure out who it is. They should be notified." Alec nodded absently at this and ran his fingers through his hair. "Now would be a good time."
"What? Oh right."
"And come back tomorrow, I want to run more tests."
Alec grimaced but agreed. His only thoughts were... what was he going to tell Verra?
