It's like the book he gave to the cultists. It's got warnings all over it. Do this wrong and your world will be doomed. You have to do it, as Zack said, free will. You must choose. Alec will not choose. He will give you the options. But he will not decide.

Zack will have to open up on the book and start the summons himself.

"Free will, such as it is, does come up with its own problems," he agrees. And a tilt of the head as he notices something across the room. "Mm... I'm going to be right back."

And he slides out of his chair to leave Zack alone.
